I have lived some similar experiences as Trixie.
Trixie Mattel was born in Milwaukee and was raised in Marinette County, Wisconsin. I had a similar experience. I was born near Milwaukee and was raised in Marinette.
When Trixie became an adult, she moved to Milwaukee for greater opportunities in her lifestyle. I, too, moved to Milwaukee as an adult seeking out greater opportunities for myself and my family.
I remember when I arrived in Milwaukee, I said to myself, I made it.
I’m sure Trixie said the same thing.
Trixie developed her drag persona, at LaCage Nite Club in Milwaukee where she blossomed.
I, too, blossomed over the many years that I went clubbing at LaCage. Although I wasn’t a drag queen, I became a better person for spending time at LaCage.
Trixie left Milwaukee to experience bigger and better things.
I will likely live out my last days in Milwaukee. However, my daughter has left Milwaukee for bigger and better things. She moved to Los Angeles and is enjoying her life and is finding her own success.
Trixie has starred in many videos with RuPaul.
My daughter danced in a video that features RuPaul.
I am pleased that I left Marinette and moved to Milwaukee.
I am sure Trixie is pleased she moved too.
