On this day, February 19, Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood debuted nationwide in 1968. This iconic show was broadcast in some markets in 1967, prior to this. I remember watching those pre-debut episodes in Milwaukee. I was 5 years old. I remember playing outside, and my mother would shout at the door, “Tony, Mr. Rogers is on now!” I would come running. Watching Mr. Rogers was one of my favorite things from my early years.
I have fond memories of driving my Ford Ranger, and I loved the stick shift. Alex and I had many adventures driving in my truck, especially to Boystown in Chicago. What a trip! ajtonyperkins.com
I am a huge fan of Dorothy Kilgallen. I compiled this video about her amazing life and mysterious death. Sadly, few people have heard of this once great media star, and she remains mostly forgotten.
